When you create an email account, for instance in Mozilla or Outlook Express™, at a certain point of the process you'll be asked whether you want a POP or a IMAP account. Then, you'll have to choose IMAP. Don't forget to select the SSL (port 993) option for incoming mail only. Typically this is done after the creation, in some "properties" or "preferences" option of the account.
To change the UNIX account password, login and run the passwd command.
 
To change the email account password, login at the [https://omni.isr.ist.utl.pt/oldwebmail|old webmail frontend], click the “Options” link followed by the “Change Cyrus Password”.
